Assistant Prof. Alexandros Stefanakis was an invited speaker at the 36th Annual WateReuse Symposium organized by the USA WateReuse Association.

He was one of the three invited speakers for the panel "Water reuse practices in a global sustainability perspective".

His talk highlighted how water reuse is fitting into the framework of sustainability and circular economy with through several case studies from Middle East and North Africa where nature-based solutions combined with effluent reuse for irrigation were applied as a scheme of holistic wastewater management.
